First Visit
The first visit is an extended one lasting 30 to 50 minutes. We will try to get an idea of your medical problems, your medical and family history, and to determine if you are up to date with your immunizations and preventative medicine. Please make sure you come at least 30 minutes before the appointment time in order to fill out forms. Remember also to bring your insurance information and photo ID.
Appointments
Dr. Bendetowicz sees patients by appointments only. We try to see established patients as soon as possible for sick patient’s visits.
It is of the utmost importance that you bring all of your medications to every visit or an updated list (including name, strength, and frequency) of all your medications in order to serve you better.
If unable to keep an appointment, kindly give at least 24-hour notice so we can use the time to schedule another patient.
Office Hours
Our office is open Monday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Tuesday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. The office is closed on the weekends and major Holidays. An on-call Doctor is available when the office is closed.
Telephone Calls
We return telephone calls from Monday to Friday. We will make every effort to return your call as soon as possible.
Prescription Refills
Refills are based on follow-up appointments or testing. If you run out of medication refills before your appointment you can access the “Patient’s Portal” and request a refill. This is the most efficient way to request refills. You can also call the pharmacy and ask them to send us a request for additional refills.
Please remember that ordering refills is a process that takes time, so plan to request your refills no less than 72 hours before you run out. Substance-controlled prescriptions may need even more time to refill due to present regulations. Please make sure you are up-to-date with follow-up visits and testing in order to make sure that we can provide you with a refill.
